How sad! I'm not completely shocked since they've had problems with jumps for several years (maybe the whole time they've been together).
But jumps or no, they have been one of my fav. pair teams in the U.S.

I bet there will be announcement on their website soon.

This info. came from the USFSA website by way of FSU. I would never have seen it. Its on the athletes page at the bottom in little bitty print.

Totally OT, but is this the USFSA website format that is going to around for awhile? I can't stand it!

This is interesting. I wonder if despite the fact that they broke up as a pair, if they are still together as a couple? They were planning on getting married. Any info on that?

I had heard on Saturday that this might happen. He still wants to skate and said he will find another partner. We shall see.

No kidding. I hope things are okay between them on a personal level (they seem like a great couple). I can't picture Craig with a new partner, but it should be interesting to see how that works out--he may be able to find someone with more consistent jumps than Larisa, but other than that, I can't imagine anyone being nearly as good a partner for him overall. Still, considering the current state of U.S. pairs skating, the jumps alone might be enough to accomplish something. I'll be curious to see how it all works out.

So Craig is looking for a new partner. Does anyone know of Larisa's
plans? She is a beautiful skater

I can't find it on the USFSA site. Do you have a link? Larissa used to be a member of the club I belong to, so I'm really curious about this. I've made a few phone calls, but haven't come up with anything.

I found the spot on USFSA's site. It looks like the announcement has been pulled.

According to skatefans- The USFSA has updated their info. Spielberg and Joeright have announced their retirement- still plan to wed and both are currently in college.

Well, they never really had individual triple jumps. They had amazing throws, and emotion.. just never were able to place high cuz they honestly just didn't have the jumping ability.. either of them. I remember when they were at Skate Indy.. they never pulled off triple jumps by themselves in the event or in the practices; however, they hit great throw triples..
I am sure they will compete on the pro level.. sometime.. or do some kinda pro event. They have the arsenal for that.

I don't know about competing as pros. It doesn't sound like it from the quote on their fanpage. Here is the link:

How many skating opportunities are there for them? I love them and will miss them dearly, but I don't think they won at a high enough level for any major tours.

Tours? Probably not, however, there are some touring shows (Disney etc.) and resort shows that would probably love to have them, especially with their lifts. They could probably do quite well as adagio skaters. Should they choose to of course.
