Thanks Mel, Sportscotland are such a bunch of muppets, it's ridiculous to be withdrawing funding from John and Sinead just at the point that they're beginning to get somewhere both nationally and internationally. The way they couldn't even get their facts right about John and Sinead's placement at Nationals was very poor. I just hope they finally see sense and give them their funding back because it's terrible to think of such a talented team having to worry about their financial situation at a time like this when they should just be able to focus on their skating and enjoy their first major championships.

They were taking the figures from WORLD RANKINGS, so that would put S&J fourth in GBR. [I still don't get 4th, that MUST be an error, unless they're counting other skaters Clements/Poole or ??...]
I mean, duh, they haven't been selected for any world ranking comps up till now, so it's hardly likely they'd be 1st.
This means that the couples who are currently ranked No1 in GBR WILL be getting funded if they are Scottish.....

Okay if they're fourth ranked in GB on world standings who on earth is ahead of them? Granted based on results from the last few seasons Marika and Vitaly and Pam and Jonathon have both been to Worlds and Euros so would have higher points there but the team who were at Worlds before that were the Abba Brits!
