It seems that the judging controversy in SLC made other sports take their judging seriously. I am going to attempt to post a link to the article about the Rhythmic Gymnastics championships: http://ap.tbo.com/ap/breaking/MGAEKLEGO3D.html

I'm sure Dr. Rogge is paying close attention to this one...it certainly is a lesson for Speedy and for figure skating, and that lesson had better be learned real fast!

This only adds more fuel to the fire for the 114th Session of the IOC at the end of this November in Mexico City. That meeting is going to be a doozie! Maybe we will all get a nice early Christmas present...that sure would be wonderful...who knows?? :o

Hate to rain on the parade, but the RG judging sanctions didn't have much to do with the SLC skating scandal. Rather, in 2000, there was a large scandal in the rhythmic gymnastics community that caused the FIG to in a way overhaul their judging system.

At least the gymnastic federation was smart about it and took care of business. That is what SHOULD happen here! Will it? Only God knows and He sure is not telling...

This parade is not being rained on...not at all! I just hope that this sets enough of an example as to what should be done that some pressure is brought to bear at some point to get the job done right. Here again, only God knows if such will ever happen.
