Well, not really. But I remember her saying awhile back that she would be interested in skating in CSOI. She has done single type stuff in it before, I think because the canadian tour always had less females, and she was excellent.

She said as much during the radio interview she and Vic did shortly after the retirement announcement. I just hope she doesn't get relegated to a Dennis Petrov-type role.
It's funny, though -- I was looking at the programs they've done so far this year, and thinking to myself that either one of them could skate the programs solo with not a whole lot of modifications.
I wonder if she can jump?
Shae used to skate pairs till she teamed up with Victor. She was a novice pairs medalist in 91 I think. Actually finished higher than Jamie Sale and Jason Turner.
Shae would have had her jumps when she was skating pairs, I'm guessing some doubles. I don't think she has jumped since teaming up with Victor.
One thing to remember is that Shae has had both her knees scoped.

She's had arthroscopic surgery on both of her knees.

I spoke to Shae at Skate Canada about her skating singles. VGL, you're right....she said she used to be able to do some doubles, but hasn't done them since she met Victor. I asked her if she was going to try and start doing some jumps again...she actually seemed kind of surprised at the thought of it. She went on about how she has dance blades now so she wouldn't be able to jump. But she said her knees are perfectly fine (so I really don't think that would be a factor).

I also spoke to SLB @ Nats. - I suggested she hook up with Gwendal Peizerat. They could do SOI. She said "He's available". Is Marina still persona non grata in the US? Why should he miss out on the money? Stranger things have happened!

Well, from the cast list I got at the hotel I work for, she'll be coming along with the Celebration on Ice crew to NB....so yay on that!
I'll have to ask her when she checks in ;)

Thanks Friendly Skater. I really can't wait till Feb 17th. It's funny I was hoping that Chantel Lefebvre and Arseniy Markov would be one of teams coming to NB for the show.
