[color=indigo:a5780481eb]Thanks for the link, Dustin. I saw Sasha this week in Long Beach. She was in tip top form. I am now worried about 42, and the Fresno stop, since Sasha isn't doing all the CA cities. We have to all start talking to the skating gods so 42 isn't disappointed!====She may have to boogie on up to Oakland, which is a huge venue, and usually pulls in all the skaters.[/color:a5780481eb] :)

cienicsk8 was at Anaheim - Sasha was there too. Of course that's almost like in her back yard. ;)

Can't wait to see those new programs! 8O

Heard she was doing Ina Bauer into the 3 sal, no pause...would love to see that. Sooo hard and so beautiful!

I can't wait for the new programs either.

This move is so amazing to watch! :D

Hmm how does one describe an Ina Bauer - its kinda like a spread eagle, but one let forward, one leg backwards (instead of both parallel to the body). All I can say is look out for it - you'll know it when you see it as the entrance into the 3-sal.

Here's an old animation of Sasha from 2000 Keri Lotion I think (Ina Bauer, 3-turns, 3-sal)...

Also various artwork of Sasha moves, including the Ina Bauer position...

And just to help out here's the Ina Bauer position taken from above...

Thanks, Adrian! Now I see what it is, I didn't know it was called that! I like that move!

...um, so who's Ina Bauer? :?

Blue Ridge - that move is called the Ina Bauer (skating in that position). I would suspect that someone called Ina Bauer invented that move - but my skating history trivia isn't that great.

Anyone knows?

Ina Bauer was a German skater a loooooong time ago. But not quite as long go as the Charlotte who created the Charlotte move...

The article calls her "this 4-foot-9 skating dynamo." Isn't she taller than that now? Anyone know her actual height?

Sasha that is, not Ina Bauer (or Charlotte ).

5' 1" seems to be more like it.

If you read articles, they've had her weight from like 79lbs to 102lbs if I remember right. 8O

About the latter is about right I believe.

I have tickets for COI on the 23rd. When does Sasha go and skate for the Queen? I hope it's not on the same day.

After seeing Sasha at the COI in Sacramento last night, I can't help but wonder if it has been wise for her to commit as much as she has to the tour. She had the only fall of the night and the landings of two other jumps were eeked out. I've been reading similar COI reports throughout this tour. Sarah's approach to the tour seems more prudent because as long as this off-season seems to be for us fans, the GP series will be here in a blink of an eye for the skaters.

I wouldn't worry...nor judge from one performance (as for reports, I've heard many where she was clean and not only that, but doing an Ina Bauer into a 3 sal).

All the skaters fall and double jumps etc. etc. in the tours...its very grueling, hard to stay in shape...sleeping in motels, eating restaurant food, not getting enough sleep, sitting on busses or planes a lot, constantly being in a social situation with no break from it, etc. etc. ... tours are quite hard on the health of the skaters. I once saw Todd Eldredge at COI splat on EVERY 3 axel attempt he made...but not subsequently in competition.

Not to mention different ice sizes every night, different ice conditions and lighting, little warm-up and practice time, plus the fact that it's the middle of the summer. No one can be at their peak condition all year. I wouldn't judge a skater too harshly based on what they're doing on tour.
