When does the usfsa decide where 2007 Nationals are going to be?

I have no idea, but I really really hope Spokane gets it!
I asked at the USFSA table at the GPF and was told that it would be at the Governing Council meeting in May.

seems late since the last few years we got our tix 3 years in advance at the last few Nationals. Gives me some breathing room

I read in an article not long ago - sorry, I can't remember what paper, but I think it was a Hershey-area paper b/c it talked about the USFSA site visit - that a decision would be made in January.

According to the USFSA web article linked, the final decision will not come until the U.S. Figure Skating’s Board of Directors at the fall meeting in Colorado Springs, Colo., Oct. 31-Nov.1, 2003.

I am sick and tired of sending money so far in advance only to have so many changes to the plan made that it's no longer feasibile or desirable to attend. Look at Atlanta, first the venues were to be across the street for each other, now they are nearly 30 miles apart, then busing was not to be an issue, now fans have to go through an FBI criminal background check and give personal information to volunteers, (parents etc don't, they deem them safe....anyone remember the Texas cheerleader mom killing the competition?) I could go on but why? I am asking my credit card company to force a refund for my ticket for the event.
I did not attend Skate America, the GPF and won't obviously attend Atlanta. Don't know if I'll attend 2005 and 2006 although I did purchase tickets. In the future, I'll only buy tickets after all plans are finalized by the LOC and if I can get a decent seat. Who cares if I don't sit in the first row! At least I won't have stupid rules forced upon me because I let them have my money interest free for three years!
The 2007 bid will be interesting. The USFSA raised the percentage of ticket sales they will get to 20% of ticket sales with a $300,000 gaurantee. They also now don't go be sectional areas to award the event starting in that year which is why Spokane, Hershey and Boston are the final three cities selected. With all the upset in the sport, I wonder what the affect will be able to support the event if many do like I will do and not purchase tickets until much later?
If 2007 ticket sales are not strong, supporters will say it's because the event is just after an Olympic year and not have a clue that they will be because people are just a little upset with the way the events are run and with the sport in general.
It's too bad that the USFSA has not stepped up and rescued the Atlanta LOC. I really want to know if that commute to the secondary venues from the main venue is under the 30 minute rule! I've never made that drive in rush hour in under 30 minutes!

Well, maybe someone should point out the USFSA that it is DECEMBER 28, 2003. LOL!
I agree with the above poster and am no longer purchasing in advance. I did not purchase for Portland and will not purchase for St. Louis until things are finalized. Yes, I may not get an all event and have to skip practices, but the Atlanta FIASCO has burned me! I agree that what we are getting and what we were promised are in NO way related. I am only going to a few events now which will cost the city of Atlanta money overall. (The other tickets are being used by my SIL who lives there and can drive i.e, no hotel, meals etc...)
For Boston I purchased each event individually and only for the Women's final was I in the second level so I can't say it would be that bad. (And if I had gotten my act in gear earlier I bet I would have been first level for that also!)

Oh I purchased for Portland when they first came out. Everyone though I was so crazy - I think I was 16 then (I'm 18 now). But if it ends up being in Spokane, I don't plan on buying an all-event ticket, probably just for a couple events...
