I have been trying very hard to understand footwork, in order to appreciate the more difficult footwork sections when I see them, rather than waiting for the announcer to say, "that was difficult." I know that rockers and counters are a lot harder than 3 turns and mohawks, but I often have trouble recognizing them when they fly by.

Sasha's serpentine footwork looks to me like an excellent way to learn the various steps, because it is a rather long sequence (by the nature of being seprentine) and also beacuse it looks quite varied. I think I recognized 2 outside mohawks before the Russian split, then 3 turn-bracket-3 turn, then later on a rocker (or is it a counter-I get them confused) into a choctaw, but I could be WAY wrong here.

Anyway, is there any kind soul who has a tape of Sasha's serpentine footwork who would be willing to list the steps in order? I know it's a big favor (but perhaps would be a fun project for someone willing to do SOMETHING skating related to fill that awful post-Grand Prix Final / pre-National gap? :) :) )

Thanks in advance!

I'll give it a shot as soon as my TV is free from the brother! I have to skate today and I'm done wrapping all the presents so I've got some extra time!
