What the heck was Jenny Kirk wearing during her short program at NHK? On my TV, it looked like she was wearing a silver costume with pink bloomers on underneath. What's even worse, the bloomers seemed to have a "V" shape at the waist, which was visible on her jumps.It looked like she was wearing pink underpants under a silver costume. 8O

I noticed soemthing weird, too. I could see the skin of her torso showing above the pants (I mean that you could tell they were separate from the actual costume), and it did look like underwear. I hope she fixes this before Nationals.

Perhaps it was intentional to go with the "mood" of the program?

Yikes! I hope that no program would ever have a mood that would be best expressed by intentionally making it look like your underwear was showing! :?? :??

She skated in this outfit again for her Chicago number at Holiday Festival On Ice in Toronto. It suited her music.

Okay, I don't want to seem dumb here, but how could it suit her music to appear to be wearing underwear instead of trunks? I know how the dress part of the costume suits her music, I'm talking about why the pants/trunks/whatever you call the part of the costume that covers the bum - weren't silver like the dress, but rather looked like pink underwear. It didn't look like a regular costume, it actually looked like she forgot the trunks of her costume and was wearing her undies instead.

I haven't seen the NHK outfit, but for HFOI there were no "pink undies" in sight. It was a standard-issue spangly gold dress, actually looking quite similar to the ones Renee and CZJ wore in the closing number in the movie. It not only suited the music, it would suit a lot of programs. So I don't think that can be the one people are talking about.
