The only actual information that I have concerns Orscher/Lucash. I have friends at Simsbury who have told me that their programs are really looking good. Apparently the short program is done to spanish type music and is very intiricate. The Long is more classical and supposedly is absolutely gorgeous. Apparently Vadim Nuamov (sp?), their coach, has really worked with this team on presentation and speed. I also understand the lifts are more difficult than last year and apparently all of the jumps, throws, and the twist are triples. I wil have a first hand report on this team next week as I will actually be at Simsbury and will hopefully get to see a couple of their practices. From what I have been told it appears that the trip to Russia for training also has paid off. Can't wait to see them. I don't know what this team's plans are for INDY but I hope they are going to be there as I am planning to attend the event.

I would also like to hear how Inoue/Baldwin are doing. I have very high hopes for this team but think that they are going to have a hard time holding on to a top 4 position this year.

I have also been told by third parties that Roth & McPherson are practicing well and looking strong. I do not have any information on them other than that.

Also in Detroit is the new team of Hinzman & Hartrsell and they appear to be coming along very nicely from comments I have received. They still look new but will probably be improving by leaps and bounds as the year progresses. I can't remember from last year's nationals, but is Hinzman a triple jumper? I undersand steve has slimmed down which is real good.

I'm curious if there has been any confirmation on the Ganabas split? Do they plan to continue skating or search for new partners?

The only "confirmation" I've seen online that the Ganabas probably have split comes on the USFSA's International Assignments page, where their names have been removed from the first JGP (France) and replaced by Sheila Harkaway & Brandon Larcom.

Have the Ganaba's actually called it quits?
