I just watched the Ice Wars World Championship held in Vancouver and noticed that Josee Chouinard is still skating. I thought that she retired last season. She still looks beautiful on the ice.Go Josee!!;) :P ;)

Josee has stopped doing the annual tours she's been doing since her amateur days. She said she would still skate in the occasional show or competition, though.

Go Josee!

I'm glad she competed in this competition. She won her team the title.

You still see her doing endorsements too. I saw one she did for Clairol.

There used to be a great Josee page done by Rebecca. Anyone know what happened to it? I used to get my Josee info fix from it.

The webpage was created by me!! I took it down because with the lack of updates it felt like there was not much more the page could grow. I'm glad you liked the site - it was lots of fun to create.

Josee looked great last weekend. Seeing her skate again made me realize how much I missed her!! I do know that Josee is also spokeperson for Cover Girl, she will be performing in four Christmas shows, and a tour in February to Prince George, Grand Prairie, Medicine Hat, Prince Albert, Oshawa,St-Jean sur le Richelieu, Moncton, Bathurst and Sydney. Hopefully we will see her more in the future!!

Just wanted to encourage you perhaps to bring the page back online.... There are always new skating fans who search for information about new AND "old" skaters - and it seems you had good infos on your fanpage.....

I saw the show and also thought she looked fabulous. You gotta love her - she's so down-to-earth and sweet. I only saw the artistic program and thought she did a great job. The program was nice to watch and she presented it beautifully. Well done, Josee!:)

I didnt see the artistic programs the day later but I did see the technical. I can imagine that josee really shined int he artisitic portion of the competition. She really has a way with bring the audience into the performance! Shes such and artist and still very beautiful! Congrats to her. BTW the ppl that saw the technical program what did you think of her different choice in music?
I thought it was so funny when Jean-Michel was more nervous than her backstage during her tech program.

I encourage you to put up the page, too, Rebecca :) It was one of my favourite pages to visit, and I really liked getting updated Josee news, reading about her career year-to-year, and seeing the magazine covers I never got a chance to see in person. I know she's not touring, but it's nice to hear about shows she's doing, the choreography she's working on, etc.

Was the ad I saw of Josee for Cover Girl then? Seems strange that she would be a spokesperson for both Clairol and Cover Girl.

I really want to see the World Team Competition! But it only plays in my area on Radio-Canada - at the same time as Canadian Nationals!!! If anyone puts up a video of Josee's programs, I would die a happy skating fan.

with the double axels she did in her programs, I would not be suprised if she could still do the triple axel.
