The only event I've been to is the Figure Eights tour back in 199_(can't remember exactly what yr), which I won tickets for. I've just never had the money to attend any events, & the tours usually don't come to my area anyway. *sigh*

11-24-2003, 08:49 AM
Thats no excuse sasafrass. Skating events don't usually come to my country!

I know what you mean about expense though! I anm hopefully going to worlds, but only for a couple of days because it's too expensive to stay all week. In fact, I've never been to a whole competition. Always just for a few days. When I went to Malmo, I got a cheap flight for £8.99 which was great!

I've only been to local skating competitions, mostly ISI.

I've seen Ice Capades, Disney on Ice, and Holiday on Ice now and then when the mood hits me.

In terms of the "Star Tours" that are now in vogue, I've only seen the Olympic Champion showns.

My favorite show by far was "ICE" which was at Radio City Music Hall for a short engagement when I was in college. Very unique and well-choreographed. Toller Cranston was great! He even signed an autograph for me afterwards.
