Well, now that the ISU has listed the skaters who wil be attending the various grand prix events I suppose the indy cahllenge will take on a new face. Any word from the organizers as to which teams will be attending? This may be the forum that will be used to plug the holes in who will compete in non grand prix events for the USA.

Well I haven't heard much in the way of confirmed participants.....I think H/H are going, but I don't know beyond that. All I can say is that there are several teams that are contendors, and these teams should basically assume that they will get no assignments if they don't show up at Indy......
Orscher/Lucash (this team could get assignments w/out being here)
Spielberg/Joeright
Quigley/Cording
Hinzmann/Hartsell (though they are going so its not an issue)
Don/Hunt
I wouldn't be surprised to see Inoue/Baldwin and/or Roth/McPherson at Nebelhorn to get them prepared for their first experiences on the GP. In that case, pairs spots at the B events will be limited and it is important to have one's act together at Indy. I hope it's a full competition! :)

Well, I don't think Orscher/Lucash are going to get an assignment without traveling to Indy. I would be surprised if Roth/McPherson got assigned to Nebelhorn as that would be three internationals for a non tested team. I think that would border on being a bit much. We need to have some of our other Sr. Teams have a chance in these competitions.
Indy could be an interesting competition and everyone should be ready. thats for sure. I think Roth and McPherson should have had to appear here before any assignment was granted to them.
Does anyone know if it is worthwhile going to this event? Do they have an audience or is it mainly an event for judges?

There was an audience last year although most of it comprised of the skaters and their families. I plan on attending again this year as the pairs discipline is my favorite skating to watch. I expect to meet up with Aaron W and Spinner again this year too.
I found the competition to be quite entertaining, even the dance portion which is not my favorite. While watching the practices as well as the competitions, I really got an appreciation for the speed these skaters achieve, in both pairs and dance.

I posted this someone else but with Orscher&Lucash, Quigley& Cording, and Spielberg & Joelright going to Nebelhorn will this have an impact on INDY. I question whether or not these teams will attend as the two competitions are so near one another. also with the international assignment I guess these teams no longer need to be evaluated.

Does anyone know if there is a roster out for the challenge yet? I am thinking of attending but before I do decide I wonder which pair teams will be there.
