On the Ice at SOI

I just got my SOI tickets in the mail today, and I will be sitting on the ice! Last year I went right to the ticket area as soon as I walked in, determined to get the best seats, only to find that they no longer sell them on site. I grabbed an order form, filled it out right there, and actually went to the mailing address just to be told that the ticket orders had to be postmarked! I didn't have a clue where to find a PO (was in Albany for the show), so we headed for the outdoor rink in Empire State Plaza to skate for a while, and I asked a stranger on the street if he knew where the PO was. He worked in one, and we were right in front of it! Our seats are close to a corner, but not all the way into one. I can't wait!

I have 5th row center seats for Spokane's SOI in Jan. I'm excited, too. I am looking forward to seeing Todd again.

Fifth row center is great, I had those seats one year. I hadn't realized that Kurt was only guesting. He is my all time favorite, so I'm lucky that he will be skating in Albany. I never liked Todd much until I saw him in person at SOI. He changed my opinion of his skating forever! I'm also looking forward to seeing Oksana Baiul in Albany.

I've got front row for Dallas....how will I wait two more months?!? I am very excited about this year's show. I wish Kurt was coming to TX, though....or Paul.

I don't have tickets this year (Columbus, Ohio), but if some of the skaters use the programs they skated at Ice Wars this year, I may break down and buy them. I really want to see and enjoy them again.

Pepsi Arena was quite nice and it was nearly full for Ice Wars. Someone was doing something right.

I have on ice seats for the second time this year. Last year we were center ice and this year we are on one of the ends. Last year I ended up shaking Jamie and David's hands, and Kyoko Ina's!

I mailed in my order for tickets the day after last year's show. I don't have the tickets yet, but did notice that the charge went through on my credit card. The dollar amount isn't high enough for two on ice seats, so I'm a little bummed. Hopefully I got really good center ice seats in the first few rows.

We get to see Scott and Oksana. I will really, really miss Kurt!

I just got on-ice seats for Syracuse. I was actually pretty surprised to see Syracuse on the schedule; SOI stopped coming here years ago. I also had on-ice seats the last time I saw the tour in Syracuse and got to shake hands with Kristi, Roz Sumners and Natalia Annenko at the end of the show. I'm disappointed that Kurt won't be skating here but am really looking forward to seeing Paul again!
