After hearing she'd either quit skating altogether or turned pro, I noticed that she finished 2nd at a minor international last weekend in France. Any thoughts as to why she wasn't given GP assignments and Calvez and Didier were, and as to how she'll figure into the mix at French Nationals and Europeans this year?

With my eligible faves like Laetitia Hubert and Tanja Szewczenko out of the race, I'm rooting for her to have her personal best this season.

I though she was originally assigned to Lalique... I read somewhere that she pulled out after the competition in Nice because she wasn't skating very well...

The french association withdrew her from the Lalique, because she had to take a test in order to skate there and failed. Now she also has to test if she want to skate at fgrench nationals

They're making a former National champion, World medallist and Olympian test to just to compete at their own Nationals?

They had similar "tests" for Surya Bonaly.

Apparently the Russian FSF is doing the same thing for Irina Slutskaya.

Is it a skills test or something else. If it is a skills test why would they be testing irina??? LOL

It's probably more a test of how they are skating at that point, if they are in shape/trained and what their consistency is like, more than testing them on their skills. At a guess.
