I stumbled across my 1988 tape of "Evening of Championship Skating" and Katherine Healey was one of the featured soloists.

I know Katherine was a far more successful ballerina, and was dancing out of London for a while. Does anyone have an idea of how her ballet career has progress?

My understanding is that Healy has quit ballet and is now working as a skating coach and choreographer. She's also performing with the Ice Theatre of New York this week.

I understand she was 19 or so at the time of the 1988 event, which would mean she SHOULD be done with her career in ballet by this age. I'm just curious how her career went.

The other part of my question got answered. :)

Funny you mention her. I have the book that she was featured in "A very young skater". I am always interested to know about her.

Isn't she married to Peter Burrows?

Healy was a principal dancer with the Vienna State Opera Ballet for several years before she quit sometime around 1997ish. She married Peter Burrows a couple years after that.

I remember seeing this movie around 20 years ago,
with Dudley Moore and Mary Tyler Moore.

Healy played MTM's daughter, dying of leukemia.
I believe they showed her dancing as Clara,
in the Nutcracker.

I don't remember much about the film,
but her dancing was excellent.

The movie is called "Six Weeks". It's pretty sappy.
