Those who don't take the time to study CoP - this includes the coaches and choreographers.

Excellent point. I totally agree with you on that. I have no objections to COP just to secret judging.

We'll all adjust to COP eventually. It seems Michael Weiss and his team did a great job of studying up. Of couse, his coach was a big part of the team that developed COP. Michael built up a big enough lead in the short to win Skate America without winning the free skate. That's due to a team that did their homework! There's a big lesson for all skaters, coaches, and choreopgraphers in that.

I also think people who cheat jumps, and those who have ignored spins and footwork in the past will get hurt if they don't improve quickly. Ironically, although Weiss' coach was on the committee, Weiss was one of the first people to come to mind as being hurt by the COP, because he 2-foots his quad in the short nearly 100% of the time. Although I saw his short at Skate America and thought he did deserve his top placement there (partly due to his impressive footwork) I think that his 2-footed quad is going to really hurt him in future competitions.
