I hope that SkateFair fans are visible at the event, as the story suggests - a little thorn in the side of Speedy and buddies is a good thing. Yeah, trying to adopt a wait-and-see attitude about the whole new "secret" system, but geeze - they've still got Balkov judging this season!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, Cinquanta won't be sitting at SA with a remote contol in his hand, contolling which 9 judges scores are to be used, but I wouldn't put it past him!

Word is that Balkov was having visa problems and he's now apparently not judging Skate America, which is good from the USFSA's point of view. But you're right, he was one of the first judges trained.

We should see if we can work that a little more often in the future. Any skating parents, club officials, judges, etc., working for Homeland Security or State?
