Wow! I hope that's true. So often they've been back east. I'll be sure to make that little trek up Highway 2!

Shopper -
Where did you get this information? I have heard various rumours about the location but have not heard anything concrete.
Can you post a link to the news item or announcement?
Nothing on Ticketmaster, nothing announced on Canoe...can't find mention of it anywhere...

I've been hearing things about this too, but that's *all* I've heard. I haven't heard anything confirmed. When it's on Ticketmaster, then that's a different story. Hope it's true for you folks out west. You don't get enough things out there.

Oh, but that is GREAT news for those of us out west who have never had a pro/am event take place so close to home!
Now to find out when tickets go on sale...:)

Who's going to be skating/competing in the Sears Open?
Jamie and David?
Elena and Anton?
Elvis?
Kurt?
Brian?
Jeff Buttle?
Emmanuel?
Shae and Vic?
Megan and Aaron?
Jen Robinson?
Josee?
Karen Preston?
Michelle Kwan?
Just who?
Well, isn't the Sears Open the same weekend as the last GP event? That would rule out anyone competing there.
Generally the entry list isn't finalized until just before the competition.
You can most likely rule out any dance teams. There hasn't been dance in the open the past 2 years.

Considering the location of this year's Canadian Open, I'm willing to bet Kurt, Jamie and David will probably be there--it's been awhile since any of them got an opportunity to compete so close to "home!" :)
If that rule about eligibles not being able to compete at ISU pro-ams (of which it seems Canadian Open is the only one next season) unless they compete in at least one GP event as well is still in place, Michelle probably won't be there.
As far as anyone else goes, who knows--although I think it would be wonderful if everyone else on singerskates' list will be able to make it! :)
