Is Susan Ng competing this season?

Does anyone know if Susan Ng is competing this season at all? Her web site announced that she was returning to competitive skating in Feb 2003.

Not this season, unless she's representing a club outside the Southwest Pacific region. That regional was held this past weekend (incidentally, Naomi Nari Nam won the senior ladies event ahead of Amber Corwin). If she wasn't at regionals, she can't advance to any other USFSA events. I don't recall seeing her name in any results from summer competitions either. Perhaps she's waiting until she's ready to be competitive, or has changed her mind about coming back.

I remember seeing this too, now that you mention it. Too bad she hasn't ended up coming back--I always liked her skating.

Is Susan Ng originally from Korea?
Is she the one who, with her mother and sister, were in a tragic accident in Korea where a rink blew up (light + fumes = explosion) and her sister and mother were killed?

Thanks for any info....two kids, susan and aileen ng, were in my dorm when i was a camp counselor at ice castle.

Just because she isnt back this season doesnt mean she wont be. It does take time...

Susan is attending UCI and doing well. She's also coaching at Disney Ice. I don't believe she will be competing due to her knees plus a desire to pursue her pre-med and hopefully, med-school education.
