It's been all quiet on the SOI front, it seems! Does anyone know when/where practices are being held this year?

Schmeck, with on-ice seating (I think...) and hoping for a decent show!

The official SOI site has just been updated with ticket info for each city (click on the links on the site for more info):

http://www.starsonice.com/tickets/default.asp

The names of the "special guest star" skaters scheduled to perform have also been added to most of the earlier tour stops. Hopefully, it won't take too long for that info to be added to the rest of the cities.

As for practices, I know SOI rehearsal time has been drastically reduced this year, but I'm not sure of the exact details. I'm pretty sure they're still rehearsing in Simsbury this year, but they'll spend a much shorter time there (only about a week or two, IIRC) than they have in the past. They'll still be rehearsing in Lake Placid this year (in fact, I think most of the rehearsal time will take place there this year), but as far as I know, Lake Placid SOI rehearsals have always been closed to the general public. :(

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Ice_So! So Simsbury and Lake Placid rehearsals are taking place back-to-back this year--wow! I imagine it'll be tough on the skaters to spend so much time away from home in two different places without a break this year, though. SOI may have had a longer rehearsal time in the past, but at least the skaters got a little break in between the two rehearsal sites. Hopefully it won't be too hard on them, though.
