New Sr. Pair Teams

With the new season fast approaching, I was wondering if anyone had any reports on how all the new Sr. teams were comimg along and if there is someone who we should all watch for. Thanks in advance !!:)

I don't have any reports, but I just heard that Emma Phibbs and Devin Patrick are no longer a team. I thought they showed great promise on the ice. Anyone know what happened and/or if they will be skating w/new partners?

Emma has paired with Mike McPherson, who skated with Kristen Roth for the last few years. They plan to compete this season, and if it turns out they do well enough at nationals, Mike is still eligible for junior worlds this season. Probably a lofty goal for a pair that didn't get together until July, but we do have three spots available and few "obvious" contenders for the spots (Vise & Kole, probably Howerton & Pottenger, but things are pretty sketchy). Who knows?

Devin was seeking a partner last I heard, but I don't know if he's found one yet.

Emma and Mike are working very hard with Mr. Ludington in Delaware and will debut their short program at the send-off of WFSC on Oct. 5th. They have just finalized their 2nd long program to Legends of the Fall. As the working mom I hear second hand from everyone that they look great! They've started landing throw 3 loop to add to throw 3 saw. Their side by sides(double axel and triple toe) are consistent - and the lifts are innovative. They look like very happy skaters! :D

I thought he was skating with Marcy Hinzmann. When did that breakup happen? They were still listed for Finlandia pretty recently.

Edited to add, I always have trouble keeping the Detroit teams straight, but this was a stupid error even for me. Just ignore me until I've had another cup of coffee. :oops:

For us New Englanders, does anyone know what's up with Katie Beriau and I think his name is Joe Gazzola? They were training in Simsbury and I know Katie had an injury this summer. Are they still skating?

Yeah, I have been wondering about Katie Berieu's injury as well. Does anyone know if she is better, and if her and Joe have resumed their training?
