I loved her short from 2001-2002, "my sweet and tender beast"?. I loved that song already, and thought it suited her.
I really like all of her programs though.

Any buzz yet on what she's skating to this year?

My favorite is Sentimental Waltz (01-02 SP).
Sasha is using Swan Lake as her long program, and a tango for her exhibition number. :) I hope she picks Romeo and Juliet as a short program; the exhibition was lovely.

I so wish Sasha would use "Tango de Roxanne" from "Moulin Rouge" for her long program, it's a very dramatic piece she could do it much more justice than Allana Slater.

Was her Olympic SP called "Sentimental Waltz" or "My Sweet and Tender Beast"? People say different things. Anyway, my favourites of her programmes are the Olympic SP and Malaguena. I also like Romeo & Juliet, but not as much as it's not that varied in content (too many spirals, lol).
I read that her LP this year is Swan Lake and that she is keeping Malaguena as her short.

Well her official site has R&J for her exhibition this year too. Her webmaster makes a lot of mistakes often so I don't know if we should jump the gun about it or not. I guess we can wait until her next journal. I'm a little dissappointed that she is keeping malaguena because I enjoy seeing new things, but if she skates it to its full potential, that will make it better I suppose.

Well I cant say that I have hated anything that she has skated to. But I would have to put hernandos hideaway for a show program then malaguena for the short with a large toss up with my tender beast then for the long definetly rach

Malaguena (I think that's the one) is ruined for me by that idiotic face she makes at the beginning.
I like any of her programs when she completes them without having some kind of mental meltdown halfway through.

I love all of Sasha's programs, because she has so much quality and so many superior elements...so its always exciting to see her skate. It never bothers me a lot even if Sasha falls...because there is so much quality in her skating and her programs, I know that I will always see something that is either the best or among the best ever anyway. I usually wind up watching her program I've recorded over and over, even when she makes major mistakes.
My favorite programs would be Carmen, the Rach and the exhibition, Romeo & Juliet...those seem to suit her best, and those LPs just contain a lot of difficulty.
Some skaters just have this magic...I remember Yagudin when he had a bad injury and made several mistakes, but did his footwork section ANYWAY like a true Gladiator...I watched that again and again too...his mistakes didn't matter at all.

I can already hear Uncle Dick gushing over the swan-like qualities of Sasha's long. It's going to be hard to beat Oksana's Olympic short program though.

I can hear him gushing too, and I look forward to it, as I do to Sasha's interpretation of Swan Lake. Its nice to contemplate when its clear to everyone without an axe to grind that Sasha is one of the few skaters who can do justice to that music.
Sasha does not have to "beat" Oksana's interpretation of Swan Lake (unless of course, Oksana is competing as an amateur this season)...for most of us, it is entirely possible to love, say, Jimmy Cliff's "Pressure Drop" and also the Clash's "Pressure Drop"; and likewise it will be more than possible to love Sasha's "Swan Lake" and continue to love Oksana Baiul's. Both skaters have the characteristic of being musical, passionate, high quality and high difficulty skaters...and apparently, sadly, both have to endure a lot of petty, hateful insults as well.
