I was at the Canton rink today, and there were some articles up on the board. Here's some local articles FYI....
This was the one on the board:

An article from the other Detroit paper:

i think it's rather sad that when they (in the detroit free press article)mention 20 national titles in the past 13 years, that liz coates is not mentioned. she certainly had a great deal to do with a majority of those titles in the 13-year tenure at dsc!
it also speaks volumns about the character of igor and marina.

I agree with you and it also makes you realize that articles in the paper say so little and leave out so much when you know the real happenings of the situation. Igor is a great choreographer, but he has made a mistake on this one, IMHO.

Is there even a club at this rink? I can not find it in my directory of U.S. clubs.

Currently, there is no club at the Canton rink. I have heard mentions that Gary Clark, who is the skating director there, is in the process of creating one. Can anyone verify this? I am not sure.

Yes he is - I think the club will cover all the Arctic arenas (there's three, but one of them is hockey only). From what I understand, the skaters currently skating at Canton are members of the Skate Academy of Plymouth until the new club gets through the process.
