Can anyone tell me off the top of their heads - How many competitions will be using the new code of points this year?
Worlds?
US Nationals?
Grand Prix Finals?
Other Nationals (Canadian etc.)?
Yeah, I know I could look it up. I'm tired today.

Besides Nebelhorn, the six Grand Prix events & the Final, and that's it.

I have been totally out of it. hehe. Looking at how it worked at the Nebelhorn this year, it seems that it is going to take me some time to understand it.
Seems like programs this year are going to focuss around landing clean jumps instead of cheated more difficult jumps. The 3toeloop is going to be the triple of choice this year. lol

OK, old thread. But, is the CoP being used at Nationals in 2004? What about Worlds? I kind of like it. Can't add as fast as everyone else but hey, that's what they have computers for.

Pupiczech, are you thinking of the 2004-2005 season? If so, I don't know if it has been decided yet. Maybe someone can enlighten us.

Pretend it's 2006 or 2007, everyone loves the new judging system, thinks it's the greatest thing ever, etc. What happens at the local competition level? The necessary equipment seems expensive, as is training every judge in the new system. But then you have skaters rise up the ranks in one system and all of a sudden switch to a new judging system. And how will tests be scored?
It's probably a bit premature to be thinking about this, but does anyone have any ideas how it could/would/might work?

For what I understand, is like that
The old system for Nationals (the one they use until 2001/2002 season), pro-ams, etc.
The interin system will be use at Euros, 4CC and Worlds
The new system for GP assigments and GPF
Then after worlds, ISU will have his congress and there they would decide if the new system worked or not in which case, if it worked, they will apply it also for Worlds, 4CC, Euros and again the GP.
I think the country have the last word when it comes to nationals, if I'm not mistaken, even if the new system is apply, when it comes to nationals, the country can use the system that it fits them the best.
