hey all,

does anyone have any real information on which champion skaters are going to be at the 9/11 show? i know nancy kerrigan is going to be hosting. i've heard that philippe candeloro is supposed to be there and yuka sato & jason dungjen. but i'd like to know if that's true or not.

any info??? please reply

I'm posting this in both threads (there is one in Events as well), just incase...

But does anyone know if this is going to be televised by any chance? Some friends of mine (besides being a huge skating fan) are huge American Idol fans and would love to see them together on the same stage/ice...

It's too bad the organizers of this show don't have thier act together. They're trying to have this huge show yet there has been basically NO advertising for it in the NY area (just like last year) I can't imagine they even break even, much less raise money. This show could be great but I'm guessing it's going to suck just like it did last year.

in response to all the negative talk about the show, i have some friends who have daughters that are skating in the show and from what i hear, this year is going to be spectacular.

i heard something about them hiring different event people to help organize things better. and you have to give them some credit. last year was their first show. i went to it and thought it was great. of course there are going to be flaws, but you learn from experience and i have high hopes for the event this year.

also, as far as not advertising, i've seen plenty of it! i've seen ads in all different newspapers (think it was daily news, ny post or newsday) my friends have heard about it on Z100 and another radio station. haven't seen it on tv, though.

in any case, i think whoever is running this did a great job last year and i wish them the best of luck this year. hope all you new yorkers show some support and come out to the show.
