STARS, STRIPES AND SKATES,
the Official Commemorative Event of September
11th, is scheduled for September 7th, 3PM at the Nassau Coliseum. The
support we have received so far has been unreal - Nancy Kerrigan and
other Olympic Figure Skaters(email me for a list), Rudy Giuliani, Governor Pataki, and many
other Hollywood celebrities including American Idol appearances and performances by Justin Guarini and Julia DeMato.
Highlights include:
- Hosted by Olympic Medalist, Nancy Kerrigan and actor Steve Buscemi
- Olympic and World Figure skating Champion performances
- Performances by American Idol's Justin Guarini and Julia DeMato
- FDNY/NYPD/PAPD Hockey Skate Off
- Ice acrobat routine by world recognized talent
- Attendance by surprise celebrity and political guests
- A patriotic performance by 75 young skaters chosen in talent searches
up and down the east coast
All of the funds collected from the event will be providing scholarships
for youngsters that have been exposed to acts of terror SINCE 9/11. In addition, this year we will be working with the Coalition of 9/11Families to preserve the historical significance of September 11th, 2001
and to assure that everyone in our nation and in the world not forget that earth-shattering day.
Tickets are affordable for everyone at $10, $25, $50 and $75 and can be
purchased by going to ticketmaster.
