Club Tecumseh Skating Schools have summer ice available for skaters working on the prelim FS (US prelim for 18 and under and US Adult Bronze) on our Low ice and passed Senior Bronze (US Juvenile, Adult competitive Gold) to Senior competitive (both Canadian and US) on our high ice. Hi Brigitte!

I have only two more sessions this week in "Spring Skating School" (Highlander Figure Skating) and then off until 4 July when I start at the Winnipeg Summer Skating School at the Dakota Community Centre.

Since I just returned to figure skating in January (after 36 years away), I wanted to keep skating rather than take the summer off. I never had the opportunity to skate thru the "off season" when I was young so it's a new experience for me. Since my regular coach doesn't teach during the summer, I will be changing coaches for July and August - so that will be another new experience.

The hardest thing about ice skating is the ice.

I'll be skating at 3-4 different rinks on a semi-regular schedule this summer - Patterson Ice Center (my home rink in Grand Rapids, MI), Walker Ice & Fitness (Walker, MI), The Edge Ice Arena (Holland, MI) & Georgetown Ice Center (Hudsonville, MI).

Skating at Glacier Ice Arena, my home rink, in Vernon Hills, IL. We are having a special adult summer session on Monday nights -- 1/2 hour off-ice/plyometrics and 2 hours adult only on ice. Yahoo!
