And if you have decided to go as a spectator this year to check things out......reconsider. Every year I meet skaters that make AN their very first competition. You can register online!!!! It's not too late. My vote is to go for it, especially if you are going to be there anyhow. You never know what a year can bring (in my case, back surgery). I went to Lake Placid in 2000 as a real rookie and did it just for the experience. I'm glad I did, and even surprised myself by making finals.
