To paraphrase a cliché (hmm, metatextual):
A bad day of skating is better than a good day at work! \(^0^)/

hmm.... i may have to paraphrase that a bit, since my job involves very little work, so it's damn hard to have any kind of day at work. so let's see... a bad day of skating is better than an A in biochem. i think that might work. i don't think my profesor would agree though.

IMHO, a good skate is less expensive and more effective than a session with most shrinks!

Performance Is Everything

I just got back from 2 weeks in Australia, on the beach evey day getting a tan, and still I missed skating. 1st or last it doesn't matter, The thrill of performing is where its at for me. I live for the thrill of being on the ice. Thanks to the person who started this thread...

see you at Nationals..

I wouldn't know about that, but my mind is always wonderfully clear while actually skating. In my case, though, the best part is that it's cheaper than dieting. Down 30+ pounds since I started, and I actually look forward to each exercise session.

I live for saturdays. On Fridays att school I wind my friends up by telling them how many hours it will be until I have to get up! I also day dream about skating and draw little stick girls with ice skates on doing jumps and spins all over my books.

Also I went shopping yesterday, and did anyone notice that supermarket floors are great for spinning and jumping? The sales people at the Delhi counter thought I was mad jumping all over the place. I can do a pretty good salchow in Morrisons!

Wherever do you find the space? Our local one (still calling itself Safeway, but it uses Morrisons carrier bags) has far too little floor space to do any jumps on - and it's right next door to the rink, so you would think if it *could* be jumped in, it *would* be.... And the supermarkets nearest our flat are always too crowded!

I love the feeling I get sometimes when I'm on the ice of "there is nothing else in the world I'd rather be doing right now at the moment other than skating"
