My daughter passed her pre-pre moves(m)

today! She looked pretty good out there. The judge said she had excellent extension on her spirals and overall, she had good comments. There were also a few ideas of what to work on so she can be ready for preliminary moves later. Now she knows what to expect from a test session... that's a good thing!

Oh and her club competition was this weekend and she was still happy with the decision not to compete. We were there all day anyway! We were there in the morning for the test session and then volunteered the rest of the time. She enjoyed watching her friends skate and helping hand out awards to the competitors!

Why do you believe that? Only asking because I believe the opposite - the early years were boring and tedious when my older daughter was skating. There were tons of kids skating at the lower levels, and it was very underwhelming. When she switched to synchro, and skated on intermediate and junior level teams, then it finally got exciting, as the skill level was much higher and there wasn't such a glut of skaters/teams.

Congrats to isakwings daughter!

I loved, loved, LOVED giving out awards. I don't have that opportunity anymore and I really miss it very much.

Congrats on the Pre-Pre Moves test!

Congratulations! *launches off a firework.*

I bet you are very proud of her! How long has she been skating?

She first stepped on the ice 3 years ago. At that time, she skated once a week in LTS and sometimes recreationally. We took a few sessions off(due to time and traveling) and then she went back and hasn't been off the ice for more then a week since then! She has been in private lessons for nearly 2 years now(she was basic 5 when she started in private lessons) and now skates 3-4 days a week. It's been a fun ride. She'll likely take her pre-pre freeskate test in August.

Congrats on the Pre-Pre Moves test!
It was fun! We've never worked awards and it was fun. It was also interesting to see the different ways skaters and their parents reacted to placements.

That's fantastic!! I'm hoping mine can take premilinary moves either when she takes her pre-pre freeskate test or before if she is ready!

I remember those days. Someone told you to enjoy this phase while you can. Eventually, it gets to be routine, which means that you get to move enjoyment up to the next level somehow (e.g., mine's competing this week). And congratulations!
