Okay I need spotlight music for an 8 (almost 9) year old Freestyle 1 competitor. She wanted to skate to some pre-teen pop song which I said no to because there's not really anything you could do to it. I like spotlights that you can actually interpret the music and DO something with it. And hopefully have a prop! So, any ideas? My ideas so far...I've basically got none...

- Brooks & Dunn "Boot Scootin' Boogie" (overused, so last resort)
- Dixie Chicks "Somedays You Gotta Dance"

Was kinda thinking maybe country. But I'm open to ANY suggestions at this point, as we really need to get programs going! Thanks!

Denis Petukhov and Melissa Gregory skated to something called Bumble Boogie by Freddie Martin and his Orchestra (old jazz tune) -it is hilarious and fast - a jazz rendition of "Flight of the Bumblebees" - I would love to see some kid skate to it... I found it on iTunes... not sure how to send you a link, but I think you could find it.

I always thought Suds in the Bucket would be a cute spotlight and and easy cute prop to do. Wash board w/ bucket and a clothes line.

I also like Barn Yard Boogie by Louis Jordaine (sp?)
