Skating in Japan?
My daughter, who is in school in Kyoto, just told me that she would bring her skates back to Japan with her when she returns after winter recess if she can find a rink nearby. Does anyone know of a rink in Kyoto, Osaka, or anywhere else nearby? I've googled to no avail.

Managed to get to this link which includes listings of all skating rinks in Japan:
http://www.skate-com.com/rink/ The default page is for the "Kanto district" only, you have to go to the following page for listings in the "Kinki district". http://www.skate-com.com/rink/index.php?n=5 It appears to have 1 arena in Kyoto and about 11 in Osaka area.

I lived in Japan as a child and trained there for three years (from 11-14)... I don't know of any Kyoto rinks, but if she ever goes to Tokyo for anything, they have great facilities at Shinagawa...
