skating treadmill

During a search for info about where I might try synthetic ice, I surfed upon a training center that has a "skating treadmill". Apparently the belt is made of some type of synthetic ice. Sounds pretty cool. Would love to try this.

Follow the link on the right for "skating treadmill".

Here's another link:

DRATS! Have to drive over 50 miles to get to the only place in my neck of the woods that has a hockey treadmill (among other things which *I* think would be good for my skating...) *sigh*

They also have two, or three of these at the training center at Ice Works in Aston, PA. However, this training center in the lower level of the rink seems to have shut down. It was a really good facility--does anyone know what happened?

50 miles in which direction? Just in case it happens to be TOWARDS me.. since everything else seems to be AWAY from me! Or you could just make my life simple.. and tell me exactly where this is! Thanks!

I'm not sure-my skating director bought time on the treadmill up there for her husband...then they shut it down. If their facility is like ours, they just weren't making any $$$$. We had a nice program, run by one of our coaches who also happened to have a B.S. in Exercise...and did dance. She couldn't run the program with just 5-6 students.

I'd like to find a one-day seminar in the area that also has off-ice jump stuff. I know about the on-ice adult seminar at Mt. Pleasant (I will be going to that) but i need some off-ice training.....severly lacking at my rink....

For those in the Bay Area, it's called Body Max Physical Therapy and Training. The one with the hockey treadmill is in Pleasanton, CA. (I know you go to Dublin now, so you would LOVE it!) They also have plyometric training... perfect for JUMPS!!! (That's why I want to go!!!)

Yeah, let me know how much they charge per hour for working with a trainer. I'm curious...
