Not me. I skate on the 9.30 am patch. It's great as there are only three or four of us on it. Sometimes it's just me for part or all of it!

Well, FWIW, I have a lesson right at 8:15am once a week and I warmup the half hour before so that counts as skating before 8am, right?

Otherwise, NO WAY!!! I'm a late owl (b/c of my work and I work out at the gym afterwards.) I skate in the afternoons (getting a LOOOONG lunch break once a week for another lesson.) But during the summer, I may have to switch my work hours around again. Oy vei! Should be fun...

Mostly, our freestyles on certain days (Tu, Th, Sat, Sun) have been at 6 or 7:30. The new summer schedule puts them at 7. I actually like it because I'm not exhausted from the rest of the day.

Currently:

Monday/Weds: 6:30AM, practice until 7:30, lesson until 8:00, then mad rush to work.

Tues/Fri: 3:45PM with lesson at 3:50pm or 4pm. Work permitting

Weds: 5:00-6:30: 90 mins off-ice with personal trainer (strength/core/cardio training). Currently my "heavy legs" day with weights

Saturday: 8AM-9:30: 90 mins off-ice with personal trainer (strength/core/cardio training)

Thurs/Sun: Rest & recovery

I usually prefer midday sessions because they're cheap (public sessions) with almost nobody on the ice. I go to evening sessions too but they're a world of difference because they're usually quite crowded, so usually I spend a lot of time on those helping friends or just talking...

But ohnoes! Real job starts Monday, so all of my daytime hours are going to be stolen away. I predict that means I'll shift to skating in the mornings (though I do hate getting up early) more in order to satiate my skating disorder.

I really wish that rink would have daily evening sessions that ran late, which would keep them from being so crowded. One of the rinks I skate at runs the Friday/Saturday sessions until midnight in the winter. Nice empty last couple hours after all the kiddies go home and there's a fresh ice cut. I'd even be happy enough with freestyle sessions in the evenings (full-time work means I'd be able to afford such niceties), but nobody seems to do that.

I usually skate between 12-3 Monday through Friday on public ice it is usually not crowded and usually looks more like a freestyle session with constant lessons going on and programs being played. It is much cheaper than the freestyle sessions and has the same amount and type of people usually. We dont have morning ice at either of our rinks. I usually use the weekend for additional gym time or rest becuase both rinks tend to be much more crowded on the weekend and i just dont want to deal with it, it can be senseless when you cant get anything done.

I only ever skate before 8am on Saturdays. My lesson isn't till 9am, but i like to be on the ice by 7.30am to warm up and practice heaps before my lesson. I have yet to skate a figure session that only has a few people though. At my rink, they're not usually that crowded, but still have heaps of skaters. If only I could be so lucky! The rest of my lessons during the week are in the afternoon/evening.

I try to skate in the mornings during adult skate (starts at 7:30), but I have a hard time waking up, even for skating. When I do get up that early, I move pretty slowly and don't usually make it "on time".

So I end up skating one adult session during the week and then public or community skate times to supplement.

I think I win the early bird award. I get up at 4:30 to skate at 5:20am. It's the only time that I can get to the rink! I've tried afternoons, but after teaching all day, I'm just too tired!

Not me... that time is way to busy for me... I skate from 1015-1145.

P.S. I don't even think our rink offers anything before 8 am.

I skate at 8:45am four times a week... but I work from 11pm-7am before that.. and it takes me 1-1/2 hours to get to the rink... so I skate at the end of my "day"... feels like night to me... even though I get to skate with our hotshot kids working on Junior and Senior Moves and triple jumps.

The other day is the hard one for me.. I have an 11am lesson.. but it feels like the middle of the night.. and then I have to drive an hour to get home, where I immediately zonk out!

I work for myself, so I have finally worked out a schedule where I can skate in the mornings from about 9-10:30, at least 3-4 days/week.Sometimes I go to a noon "Adult" session at one of the other rinks, but that is more difficult as I can't work my schedule around it as easily. Now I can think: Get up. Go skate. Go work. Simple. On the weekend I go to a patch (figures) session on Sunday morning, followed by a social dance session, where I sometimes have a lesson with a (male) dance coach.

I skate from around 7 onwards, this way I am finished before the public get there. I am looking for work at the moment so I will have to be on ice at 6 then, the rink opens at 6, that will mean getting up before 5....

I am a night owl, but due to my rink's freestyle schedule and my work schedule, I have no choice but to skate early mornings before work during the week.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:30am to 7:30am.
Sunday: 3 hours, starting at 11:00 am.
Saturday & Monday: Rest

I try for 5:45 - 6:45am, but it's usually closer to 6:00am when I step onto the ice. I do this on T, W & Th.

My rink has added a 5:40pm session on Monday that I can actually make after work. I wish they had it more than one day a week.

My weekends are a crap shoot as I have many options.

I'm on the ice before 8 am 3 days a week but that will probably change for the summer, when there's more evening ice available. I skate much better later in the day.
