Sasha's Romeo and Juliet Music?

So, I had a little bit of a problem with the 'Croation Rhapsody' music.

I talked to my coach and she said it's not for me. It's for someone who has alot of solid and strong skating, but I skate more beautiful.

So she said to burn off the music from Sasha Cohen's program 'Romeo and Juliet' but I have no idea who the artist/composer is, any help?

Thanks.

It's the movie score, by Nino Rota.

There is a bit of discussion going on about it in the 06-07 Program Music thread.

There are many arrangements of that music, so choose carefully. Sasha's was very over orchestrated and "in your face". Kristie Yammagucci skated to the same piece, but what I thought was a much prettier arrangement. I was using it for a pairs program and called her choreographer and found the piece.

Yes Sasha's orchestration is from a lot of arrangements. Alot of fading into one piece to another too. Extending and speeding some as well.

tim, what length do you need? Justine- I believe mine may be a bit too long for your program.

I'll check mine - it was 3:10, but perhaps could be 2:10. It was a very nice arrangement. I think I have about a dozen of them from when I was trying to find the one I liked that Kristie Y. used. I saw her at a party and she didn't know the particular arrangement but suggested I contact her choreographer.

I'll look for it tonight. It's probably on tape, as it was done quite a while ago. I'll also get the cd# for anyone who is interested. If I find it, I can get it put on a disc.

Hey Tim,
Since you're looking for a 2:10 program, does this mean that you've passed your silver tests?

Actually, her music was cut specifically to go with the elements she wanted to put in each section of her program. Unfortunately, not enough attention was paid to the musical quality of that cut, so they ended up re-cutting it so that it had more variation and "story arc" to it.
