Back Home and Back on the Ice

Just wanted to post that I am back from Austria. It was a great summer playing wonderful Opera and Orchestral music. The weather was warm for the first few weeks and then down right cold for the last 2 weeks(65 and rainy)!

I stepped on the ice this morning for the first time since June 6. I was very depressed at first but started to feel ok. My camel spin came right back and a couple of sit spins were good too. I only am doing basic stroking and moves right now. I actually was able to do some three turns in the field and a couple of good spirals. I have a lot of strength to regain in my right leg so I will keep up with my prescribed exercises and ice regimen.

Just wanted to let everyone know I was back. Just taking it one day at a time right now. I spoke with my coach and maybe will start a moves lesson next week.

Welcome back.

If you're already getting spins and spirals that's a really good sign....

Welcome back to the US and to skating!!! Sounds like things are coming along well. Are you relatively painfree now?
