Synchro Skater A Nominee For GeezerJock Of The Year

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or elsewhere, but since it does relate to participant (vs. elite) skating, here goes . . .

The fall issue of GeezerJock -- "the masters sports and fitness magazine" -- has announced its finalists for GeezerJock Of The Year in various age/gender categories. One of three finalists in the women's 60-69 category is Jacqueline Tennant, a synchro skater from Gaithersburg VA.

If you want to check out the magazine and vote for Jacqueline (or whomever else), their website is http://www.geezerjock.com. Right now, you can subscribe for free; don't know how long that will last as they build up their subscriber/advertiser base, which they seem to be doing quite nicely.

And, no, I don't know Jacqueline personally. I just thought it would be good to send a signal that adult figure skaters are a group with which to be reckoned, and to perhaps encourage the magazine to cover next year's Adult Nationals!

Ellen (a geezerjock and proud of it )
