Healthy
Was fun to be on the ice without the competition pressure. Had a fun dance lesson and did the starlight waltz. I love learning new dances.

Double threes (forwards at least) felt a lot better. And I did one circle of back inside double threes on my right foot before realising that is the side I am scared of!

And back outside threes went from good one side to dreadful on the other to very good on one side and ok to good on the other side (coaches words!) so yay!

Everyone said congratulations to me for the competitions this weekend which is always nice!

Injured
Was too busy to try and jump. Tried to find space of an axel but alas no luck. Tried some inside axels on the spot instead - they were ok but I think they look more like loops - its more an exercise just to get me to cross my feet!

Dance teacher did an impression of me doing the bronze field moves choctaws and there was a lot of leaning!

Bronze field moves generally need a lot of work for test next month

Dance teacher commented mid-Starlight waltz that I don't skate with people often do I - I take it that means I am bad at it. I blame him though - he's the dance teacher so he'll just have to skate with me more. I do three turn to the side of him rather than towards him though. I do pity the person who has to try and dance with me!

Secondary coach is nitpicky this morning... Okay, maybe not THAT nit-picky!

Injured:
  • New lesson/practice thread???
  • Stroking: Coach asks me "So what were you thinking about just now when you were stroking?" Me: "Errrr.... ummmm...." Coach says "If you're taking that long to reply to that question, you're probably not THINKING MUCH!!!" (And of course, she's right... b/c at that point I was still "sleep skating.")
  • Waltz jump: Couldn't kick all the way thru. Those blasted bunnies (as in bunny hops) are gonna come back into my life now, since I have to get a really good kick thru as the bunny hops to do a decent waltz jump now.
  • Loop: Didn't do any during lesson. Tried to do a couple this morning but I could barely get myself to push up... Need sleeeeeep.....(jazzpants crashes in front of office desks and... )
Healthy:
(Jazzpants still asleep...)
