Mime Music

Hello...
Completing my Gold Duo Interpretive and have decided on the theme of mimes - my partner and I spin/jump opposite directions and so thought it would work well.

Any suggestions on pieces of music that would work for "Mime"?
This is my favourite place to ask for Suggestions!!

I would start with YouTube and/or GoogleVideo to see what's out there. Here's an old performance of Marcel Marceau (LionTamer mime performance) with music:

Someone at Easterns this weekend did a mime interp - the music was perfect - french/piano type stuff I think, but I haven't a clue as to the artist/group.

I don't know why, but music from the soundtrack of the movie Amelie (and other music by the same musician) makes me think of mimes. Maybe it's because the character of Amelie has a very expressive face. Also, maybe it's because of the accordion music--it has a slight carnival/whimsical feel to it.

Can this be vocals? (How ironic would it be to require non-vocal music for a mime - LOL somehow tickles my fancy - LOL). ANyway, how about As Time Goes By from the movie Casablanca? If that's too mushy then maybe some of the great Muppet songs? Have fun , sound like a great idea

Not exactly mime, but the Les Suprêmes synchronized skating team skated to a tribute to Silent Movies in 2003. They won the Gold at Canadian Synchro Nationals and the Bronze medal at Synchro Worlds that year. It was a very creative program. I don't know if any of that music would work for you, but maybe it'll give you some ideas.

Here is a link to the video.

Since it's kind of hard to hear the music from that video, you can get the mp3 of the music from the Les Suprêmes website. Here is the direct link to the mp3.

This is the most perfect ever - I love this program and didn't even think to use it. Perfect. Now if only I could figure out a way to get a copy of it, or of the actual songs used? Any ideas?
