PSA Conference Roll Call

I'll be at the PSA Conference later this month. Anyone else going?

I will be there....this is my first year attending. I am feeling a little nervous and overwhelmed (mostly about the oral rating).

Hope you do well. I'd like to listen in on those exams; I'm really intimidated by the whole PSA rating system.

I just reserved a place on the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour in the Magic Kingdom on Sunday (5/24) morning at 9am.

I've always wanted to take a backstage tour, but the kids were too young and I didn't want to ditch them to do it by myself. Not that they were interested anyway.

I'm having them give me the tour as a Mother's Day gift, lol.

I would love to be going this year, but with my wedding coming up this October, I just can't do it. Next year for sure though...I hope.

I'm not going this year either, but my coach is. She goes every year! Are they combining it with the ISI conference & trade show again? If so, be sure to attend the trade show portion, where there will be bargains on everything from boots and clothes to blade guards and soakers. There are also free promo items. I got 5 rubber duckies that have been a wonderful teaching tool.

I had heard that there are great bargains on boots & blades at the conference. I was already planning on buying new skates this year anyway; hopefully I can find prices that will this purchase much more affordable.

Last year, Riedell was offering boots at almost half price, and about 1/3 off blades. Jackson and Harlick also had discounts. Klingbeil always has a $100 professional discount.

Sk8Strong has donated its complete 4-DVD off-ice training set (value $129.95) for the PSA auction.

I'll be there. Not as a coach, but with a friend who is a coach.

I won't arrive until late Wednesday. Thursday, Friday or Saturday for lunch is okay. I already have plans for Friday night, but the other nights are open for dinner.

My coach is going. I would, except that I leave for Mountain Cup a week from Friday and I couldn't afford two trips that close together.
