Competition this weekend!!

I have my first ice dance competition this weekend and I'm really nervous! I'm competing Solo Bronze and I've been having trouble on the ten fox- any tips? Wish me luck!

Good luck! Be sure to tell us how it went. Remember, for your first competition, just getting out there is an accomplishment in itself. Don't focus on results, just think about getting through each dance.

I've heard the Ten Fox is very challenging.

The Ten-Fox is horrid -all the absolute worst bits of the Foxtrot and the 14-step jammed together any old how..... however, a tip that Batikat found worked at our last competition was to go out there and think how much you really, really love that dance, and how much you really, really want to be showing the judges how it's done. It sounds silly, but I tried it (it worked for Batikat) and, b****** me, it works!

Anyway, best of luck, and just relax and enjoy yourself. Don't expect to get anywhere this time, but have fun trying! Remember that you can't control how anybody else skates, and you can't control what the judges think; all you can do is go out there and skate as best you can.

Do let us know how you get on.
