Oooh I second that!

I hadn't watched skating in a really really REEEEALLY long time, but just got back into it thanks to Rinkside (which is the greatest thing EVER) and OH MAN! I love those butts! Mmm! Remind me again why I'm such a skating fan!

Funny thing is, I've been gaining weight recently because of lots and lots of stress eating (which I almost never do) and it's ALL in my butt and thighs. I may have to find new pants soon, though I hope it won't go to that, cause my top will then be 7 sizes smaller than my bottom. Yeah, my body's totally weird.

There is this one mom at my daughter's rink who will almost always when talking to me will bring up my daughter's thigh size! She'll say things like, where did she get those legs! Are they from you!? I think she says this because she's jealous that my kid's a better skater than hers, really. It's a well known fact because her jumps are huge, whereas her daughter's jumps are much smaller (and who's kinda big all over, you know what I mean ) I just ignore her when she says these things 'cause I think she wants me to mention it to my daughter so she'll get a complex about them. You'd be amazed at what some of the parents will try to do to you.

My thighs aren't huge, but they aren't tiny either. I also have pronounced calves and some boots are hard to fit me. My butt is a little bigger than average.
I think I look okay in regular tights, with the white boots showing, but I might look better with over-the-boot tights. I've always been hesitant to wear OTB's because they make your feet look like horse hooves or something.

and what's wrong with horse's hooves? My baby has lovely hooves

I do know what you mean though, you do tend to look a bit like 'Postman Pat' close up HOWEVER the effect is much better from afar (ie the judges and audience) and they really do make your legs look longer as long as you point your toes

I think as long as you only pull the OTB tights over the white leather part of your boot, with the sole showing, your feet don't look too hoof-like. It's when you pull the tights down over the soles, with only the blades showing, that makes your feet look gigantic and weird.

I disagree - I think OTB tights look much nicer in competition than white boots cutting off the line at the ankle!
