My dd skated her personal best this weekend m

and made the final round getting 6th out of 12 and then going on to get 8th overall. It was only her 2nd time in Pre Pre FS- I thought her axels were very well done for a newbie. She is not quite 9 yet.

Check it out.

Wow! Fabulous skate! She is really having fun out there and it shows in her skating. I know we're not supposed to be concerned with dresses at this stage but I just can't help it ... and her dress is amazing. The colour is perfect for her.

ITA! It must have been a strong field for her to come in where she did.

Hi momof3chicks

Your daughter's skating is great. It shows that she is enjoying the skating, which is the most important.

Your daughter certainly has a bright future, if she keeps on going like this.

We are hoping to use the dress again next year. Her coach and I favored a pink dress (light pink) and she loved this one. So we relented figuring that SHE had to feel good about it to perform well. In the end, it turns out she was right, it does look fabulous on her. It was a 'sample' dress from US Icewear and the woman altered it a tad for free so it would fit her properly. We got it for a very good price.

I really was, and I suspected there was some sandbagging going on. Some of the girls were doing spread eagle to axel, death drop spins and such. The gold medalist actually did 3 axels in her program- she did axel side toe hop axel at one point.

I think she was beat more on program content than anything. Amazingly, you know where she has gotten her new found confidence?? Compulsory events. She ALWAYS places and often wins, even in large groups, even with older kids, even with kids in higher levels of tests and I think she finally figured out she IS good and she should be proud and confident and it finally showed in this performance.
