Skating in/near Nashville?

I am traveling to Nashville for work later this week (Wed through Monday) and am hoping to find some ice. Any recommendations from this group?

Sara

I remember there is an ice rink within walking distance (a mile or so? less?) of downtown. I didn't end up going there, but I'd looked it up before I'd arrived.

I'm not from there, so I don't know the name and etc. But it's right near the downtown.

Haven't been there, but heard it's nice from people who go to their ISI competition.

It's nice, I was in there briefly to watch my old club's open juv team when synchro mids were in Nashville in '08. They had all the open/non-qual teams competing there. From what I remember, it was on the colder side.

The qualifying teams (and open jr because they are IJS), on the other hand, had to compete in some rodeo arena that they plunked an ice surface in the middle of (and a little trailer park for locker rooms right next to it). It was interesting, to say the least. And not really fun for those of us who have animal allergies.
