Every time I (sporadically) land an axel....on and off (more off than on) for a year and a half now.

Mine would definitely be the ah-ha! moments when I finally figure out how to do something that seemed impossible before.

This happened most recently when I was fooling around at an outdoor rink and discovered that I could do an ina bauer.

The time before that was a particularly good spinning day when my instructor was having me practice preparing for a scratch spin by spinning with the free leg extended in front of me. Then she had me try pulling the leg and my arms in. On one attempt I made it around three times. Of course no one was looking and I couldn't do it again that day or since, but I did a little dance on the ice after that. (This reminded me of my 6th grade math teacher, who made us stand up and shout "I get it Iget it I get it!" when we finally understood something.)

The times before that were when I figured out forward and backward crossovers.

It's *so* neat to feel in your body what you've watched other people do a million times before. :O)

(I'm still waiting for that revelation on blasted LFI3 turns.... )

Even though I'm sure my F crossovers are better now, it would have to be the time I flew through the prelim F crossover pattern and was not intimidated by the other skaters in the session. One even stepped back for me...a first.

I landed one double axel--I was 29 years old. It was the best skating moment I ever had. Have yet to repeat it. Also winning NJ council in 1994 w/ double toe in program. have yet to repeat it. You see where this is going right??...............

Congrats to everyone for all these accomplishments.
