2007 Adult Easterns- Roll Call

Deadline was today! I was told that there were over 150 people signed up, and of course that didn't count all the procrastinators like myself who hadn't mailed their forms in. Who's going??

Me: Silver Ladies I, Silver Compulsory Moves and Team! Wheeee!

I look forward to seeing everyone at my home club (even though I now live in Florida). I will be competing in Championship Masters Ladies FS, Master Senior FS, and Gold/Masters Team Compulsory.

Mailed my form Friday! I entered Silver Freestyle, Silver dance and Gold Team.

Oh Stormy, we're competing against each other again! Guess they'll have to give two gold medals!

Championship pairs
(but AFAIK, there are only 4 teams, so no sweat, right? )

I think there might be 6 teams for Championship Pairs:

You and Marna
Lee and me
Tara and Tim
Diana and Mickey
Kim and David
Kristin and Kelton

It should be a lot of fun! I'm wondering though if anyone signed up for the Adult Gold Pairs event? We didn't, did you?

Hi Kelton,

Oh, you'll be missed...I was looking so forward to seeing you two skate. Is everything okay? Injuries??? Will you be competing in singles? So, I guess there will be 5 pair teams at E. Sect.

Nova and I did not sign up for gold pairs at Easterns, only Champ. I'm also skating silver free (did you enter that too Stephen?) and we were afraid that if we had too many events we'd end up having to skate a couple of programs back-to-back.

Hi Andrea,

Everything is fine...Kristen has some career advancement opportunities that require her full attention right now.

I will be there for the freeskate in Championship Gold Men.

C'ya,

Kelton

Hi Kelton,

Great! We'll look forward to seeing you compete!

Hi LoopLoop,

Do you think anyone signed up for the Gold Pairs Open at E. Sect.? This will be interesting to see, because it will give some good feedback about the "smush-in" one way, or another.

See you soon!

Best,
Andrea

Oops, not yet. The application is sitting on my desk ... at work!

K' just weighed in (maybe next year?), and Diana and Mickey did not enter the champ. pairs event. But maybe they entered the open event?

Hi Nova,

How do you know that there are only four (4) of us? Have they printed this out some where??? I know that Diana and Mickey are planning to go to Nationals, so I thought that they would surely enter the Champ. event. I'll have to ask her about it.

They did exactly that one year at the British Adult Championships - in Intermediate Ladies I (roughly equivalent to Adult Silver in the US), three women skated so well there was absolutely nothing to choose between them in the marks, and all three got gold medals. Quite different styles and strengths, though.

Just heard back from Diana, and Mickey and Diana will, in deed, be competing in the Adult Pairs Champ event at E. Sectionals.

So, yes, there will be five (5) pair teams altogether competing in the Pair Champ event.
