Are these boots completely rotted?
Hi guys! I would like to buy these from a nieghbor.
I was wondering if anybody here is able to tell to see if the heels on these boots are useless, use able, or repairable : ) I need to mount figure skating blades on them. These are harlick competitor boots, used, in 4.5 C. I have high arches, wider feet, and am prone to supinating (right foot falls towards outside edge) I am asking becuase I would like to buy these boots, however, there looks to be a deep slice in the heel area which I am somewhat worried about. THese boots were used for synchro and there is skater's biege synchro tape on the outside (it's not leather peeling off) If you were me, would you buy the boots given the condition of the heels and soles? Would you repair it? I don't know if I can redrill in holes that have been plugged (sounds unsafe to me!?) http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs321...._3159284_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._8085842_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._2578303_n.jpg http://hphotos-snc3.fbcdn.net/hs321...._5929870_n.jpg |

You might take the skate into a pro shop and ask if a new pair of blades can be mounted on the boots. It's really hard to tell from the photographs.

See my response in the other thread you posted in "On Ice - Skaters".
