Lee, Bite your tongue!!!!!!! Heaven forbid if my boots get even one scratch. Actually, it's the body that suffers when I skate.

I hope to take the pre preliminary tests sometime next year.... So far I can do waltz jumps, salchows, toe loops, half flips and half lutzes (kinda!) My spins are finally getting better! I can do a somewhat decent scratch spin and an okay sit spin at times. I need to really go back and work on some basic skills... like the pretty much non-existent left inside 3!

Iceangel, my LI3 is also nonexistant - it took me forever to get it to pass basic 7 (or whatever level it was on) and now I've lost it, sigh!

I'm Preliminary free and working on Juvenile moves. I land through lutz consistently and am gaining consistency on my cheated axel, 2salchow, and 2loop.

I'm 44, skating for 3 years, currently ISI level Freestyle 2:

Jumps in order of "greatness" (har, har):

Half Toe Walley
Waltz Jump
Half Flip

I started on Toe Loop and Salchow earlier this year, but haven't really practiced them for the past month due to competition. They were coming, slowly but surely.

Iceangel and Schmeck: Put me down as another member of the "nearly non-existent LFI3 club" In fact, I think I qualify for at least the Vice Presidency since mine can be so piggin' awful at times.

Its so good to be here!!!

I'm reviewing what I'm working on!

I'm still working on the tests, and flip-toe loop and backspin.

I stopped working on the axel, but want to get back to it.

I've started working on change foot spins; parallel/sit and combinations of both.

Hi! I'm new!

I'm 18, and I've been skating for a little over 2 years. I've never tested, but I suppose I'm at the ISI FS3 level....

I landed my first flip(s) this week! Yay! My loop is getting more consistent, but I need to check out of it more nicely....

My spins suck. Scratch spin is either really good or really bad, depending on how my entrance is. Backspin comes and goes, and sit spin is nonexistent, since I can't find the balance point....I'll be working on those once I recover from this annoying cold!

Anita

I've been skating for about a year now. I'm in ISI FS5, working on axel, double toe and double salchow. My skating has been tempoarily postponed because my boots are completely broken down and need new boots.

I'm mid-30's adult skater chronologically and biologicially. Kid skater at heart!!!

I've passed Adult Pre-Bronze FS and pre-prelim Moves. Am working on Adult Bronze Moves and FS tests now. The ultimate high for me is when I eventually make it to Adults Nationals to compete! (Don't need the medal...just want to make a respectable showing!)

Cheers,
Joanna

I'm an adult skater who just had her third birthday skating. I'm working on getting a consistent axel. I'm also attempting my double sal. (I did rotate two loops in the harness recently.) I have all the singles, with my loop being my best jump. I'm working on juev. moves. I'm working extra hard at my double three's at the moment. My hardest spin is probably the attitude or back sit. My nemesis is the backspin.

Hi !
I`m 28 and I`m skating for 1 and a half year. I`m still working on the basics, one-foot spin and waltz-jumps but I really love it.

Katja.

I'm 55 and have been skating for about 2 years. I don't jump (arthritis) and just started spinning. I love moves and they are all over the place. I was ready to test pre-pre moves last summer at Lake Placid, but broke my wrist instead and still haven't got that waltz-8 back again. However, I have pretty nice forward cross strokes, beginning back cross strokes, fairly clean forward and back power crossovers, BO threes, and beginning BI threes. Fear is the main thing holding me back, especially after the wrist thing, but I can't quit because my weight will definitely balloon up again

I am within spitting distance of 49, and the only jumps I do are a tiny 3-jump (waltz jump) and a rather cheated cherry flip (toe loop). I did learn the Salchow, but it never worked properly. I think, like DB, I prefer moves. But ice dance is my great love, of course.

What are you working on

I'm an adult skater, 35. I am trying to overcome testing nerves and pass Adult Gold this summer. I also have one pre-silver dance (fourteenstep).

I have all of the single jumps and am working on double salchow and toe loop (randomly landing them only occasionally - more often two feet or two cheeks).

I'm just amazed that I'm learning things in my 30s that would have terrified me in my teens.

I'm an adult skater (34). I'm working on the axel (usually land on one foot but cheated) and just started double loop and double sal last week.

I'm an adult skater too, 32, been skating now for almost 4 years. I can't believe it's been that long and still it feels like I've been skating forever. I do have a long, ugly stretch of about 9 months of no skating shoe horned in the middle of that since I moved from Michigan to Missouri.

Technically, I have everything in the ISI FS 2 and FS 3 but those blasted spins, and some things in FS 4. I can land the toe and sal consistently, the loop and flip inconsistently, and have not even tried the lutz and axel.

The funny thing about my attempts at the loop and flip is I land them best when I'm not thinking about it, but I have to think about it because they are not quite there yet. Oh, the irony.

I'm a Senior with 3sal, 3toe, and 3loop consistent. 3Flip and 3lutz have their moments. On a good day, I can sometimes crank out a 3sal/3loop too. I like jumping, but I'm becoming more and more of a spinner. The style aspect hasn't come easily to me, but it's another area I'm learning to appreciate.

I'm 30 (and it's taken me 7 months to say that!) and I started skating last September. Right now, I'm in Basic 8 (USFSA sequence) and I'm working on a waltz jump and a 1-foot spin out of crossovers (as opposed to standing in place and whirling myself around like we did in Basic 5). It's hard to get the technique down - originally, my problem was that I brought my right arm (I spin CCW) around and that threw me off balance. I have to work on leading w/my left arm when I go into a spin. My waltz jump is coming along fine, except that I think I tend to land on the inside edge rather than outside. I'm also working on re-acquiring my mohawk turns, which seem to have disappeared as soon as I passed Basic 7.

On a positve note, I have successfully re-acquired my inside 3-turns and actually did them moving along a circle in my practice on Saturday.

icetiff - I saw you skate at Nats this year and thought you and Larry did a fantastic job. You two definitely have a lot of potential and I'm glad to hear you'll be skating seniors next season. Hopefully, I'll get to see you guys on the TV broadcast (short and/or long), since I won't be at Nats next year - going to Worlds instead.
