Hi doubletoe
Thanks for the advice. However, how do you tell whether the calf of your spinning leg is pressing against the inside of the thigh of your free leg? ![]() londonicechamp |

This advice has helped me a lot, one day I'll actually GET that low on ice (I can do it off-ice LOL!)

You can feel it. If you are unsure, then do it off ice and take note of the feeling.

Remember, as you bring your free leg around from back to front at the end of your entrance edge, turn your foot out when it gets to 2:00 (or 10:00 if you spin clockwise) so that the heel of your blade does not point down to the ice and catch.

Hi doubletoe
I practised some sit spins after my lessons today. Did feel the wrap action. Is that the same as what you are telling me about? londonicechamp |

You shouldn't wrap your free leg- this makes for a really sloppy looking sit that someone will have to fix later. It should feel like it's pressing together and someone is pulling your free leg out straight in front of you.
