You might want to try Cantiague arena. It's in Long Island, not sure of the exact city. I know it's somewhere off the Wantagh, but I dont know which exit since I usually go there from school which is nearby. You could also try Newbridge arena. They usually have freestyle sessions in the morning, but I don't know if it will be cancelled for Memorial Day. Long Beach is another place to try, although I'm not sure when their website was last updated, so you'd want to call them for the actual times.

I'm pretty sure that Pavilion on Staten Island is open. You can call them to be sure: 718-948-4800

The rink I was planning to go to will be closed, so I'm probably not skating.

I'm looking at Floyd Hall Arena's schedule (I think it fits the 30-mile from NYC limit ), and they are open for public session 11 am - 3 pm. Open freestyle is 6:00 - 8:00 am. High freestyle 8:10 - 10:10 (and *high* there really does mean high...).

If we are talking other side of the river anyway, maybe Ice House is open? I see that they don't have any public sessions that day, no idea about freestyles.

Hi,

As far as I know the Ice House will be closed on Memorial Day.

thanks so much!!! i think I prob will come at around the 8:30 session that way i can clear up the rest of my day. I'm just working on my pre-bronze MITF and simple singles so I hope I won't be overwhelmed by the high skaters at the rink...better yet I hope it's empty tomorrow morning!
